Our Counsellors

All of our staff and counsellors are experienced in trauma informed care with a specialty in working with those who have experienced sexual assault and abuse.  Our counsellors hold BSW's, MSW's, MA Counselling, MA, M. Psych, SSW, CYW. 

Our Mission Statement

We will:

  • Provide emergency, crisis, and supportive counselling, and information, referral, and advocacy services and programs for survivors of sexualized violence
  • Organize, participate in, and/or support public education initiatives and community events designed to increase individual and community awareness of issues relating to sexual violence
  • Advocate for social change that will contribute to the eradication of violence

Our Mandate

Sexual Assault Centre Kingston (SAC Kingston) is mandated to provide support services and programs to ALL survivors, (14 years of age and older) who have experienced recent and/or historical sexual violence in Kingston, Frontenac, Lennox, and Addington.

Our Principles

SAC Kingston will demonstrate a philosophical and behavioural commitment to recognize, respect, and reflect the principles of equality, fairness, diversity, accessibility, and anti-oppression/anti-discrimination and to challenge ourselves as well as the structures and systems that contribute to the practice and maintenance of violence, exploitation, oppression, and discrimination.
